The UK Lotto bonus ball is a 7th number drawn from the same 1–59 pool after the 6 main numbers. It defines the Match 5+Bonus tier: 5 main numbers correct plus the bonus ball.
It does not affect the jackpot (Match 6)—only the main numbers matter for that.
