The UK Lotto jackpot (Match 6) has odds of 1 in 45 million per line, per round. Since 10 June 2026 a £2 ticket plays both rounds of the evening, so it holds two chances at the jackpot rather than one. With millions of lines sold per draw, the jackpot is won regularly—but not every draw. Rollovers occur when no one matches all 6. Must Be Won draws guarantee a winner when the jackpot hits the cap.
Jackpot frequency depends on ticket sales and luck. Past frequency does not predict the next draw.

Rollovers and Must Be Won
When no one matches 6, the jackpot rolls over. It continues until won or until it hits the cap. At the cap, the next draw is "Must Be Won"—if no one matches 6, the jackpot is shared among lower tiers. The jackpot is always won on that draw.

No. With roughly half the draws rolling over, the expected wait until a win is naturally around 1–2 draws, which fits the "1–3 on average" range once ticket-sales variation is included.
