Overview
An "overdue" number is one that has not been drawn for many consecutive draws. For example, if number 25 has not appeared in the main 6 or bonus ball for 30 draws, some people call it overdue.
This is a descriptive label only. It does not mean the number is more likely to appear next time.
Past absence does not predict future results. Each draw is independent.
Important
The gambler's fallacy says a number is "due" after a long absence. That is false. The UK Lotto machine has no memory.

These numbers have been absent longest in recent draws. That does not make them more likely next time.
Expected gaps between draws
With 59 numbers and 6 drawn per game, each number is drawn roughly once every 10 draws on average. Gaps of 15–20 draws without a number are normal. Longer gaps (30, 50 or more) are rarer but still possible—and they do not increase the number's chance next time.

Is an overdue number more likely to be drawn?
No. Each draw is independent. Overdue numbers have the same probability as any other number.

Can the bonus ball be overdue?
Yes. The bonus ball is drawn from the same 1–59 pool. Fetix statistics include bonus ball frequency and last-drawn info.
Do overdue numbers eventually appear?
Over the long run, frequencies tend to even out, but there is no schedule. A number can stay absent for many draws without affecting future draws.
