At a glance
- You can check whether your Lotto numbers have ever won in about 30 seconds: enter your 6 numbers in My numbers and pick the full history.
- Fetix runs your line against every UK Lotto draw since 19 November 1994 — 3,209 draw nights — and lists each one where it would have paid out.
- Most lines have won something: our three test lines paid out on 368 to 463 nights. None of them ever got past Match 4.
How to check your Lotto numbers
- Open My numbers for UK Lotto.
- Enter your 6 main numbers. You never enter the Bonus ball: it is drawn by the National Lottery and only matters for Match 5 + Bonus, which Fetix checks for you.
- Choose full history and run the search.
You get the list of draws where your line matched enough numbers to win, the prize paid that night, your best result and the total collected.
What three real lines would have done
We ran three very different lines through the full archive:
| Line | Nights with a prize | Total collected | Best night |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birthdays: 3 – 7 – 12 – 19 – 25 – 31 | 463 | £1,724 | Match 4, £152 (29 June 2024) |
| In a row: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 | 417 | £1,870 | Match 4, £50 (24 April 2004) |
| Spread out: 8 – 17 – 23 – 34 – 42 – 51 | 368 | £1,557 | Match 4, £140 (twice: 2019 and 2022) |
Three things stand out:
- Winning something is common, winning big is not. Each line matched at least 2 or 3 numbers hundreds of times, but none reached Match 5.
- Match 4 is worth very different amounts from one draw to the next. The birthday line's Match 4 paid £42 in 2007 and £152 in 2024: the prize depends on how many people share it.
- The spread-out line has fewer wins for a simple reason: number 51 only exists since the switch from 49 to 59 balls in October 2015, so for the first 21 years that line was playing with five numbers.
Figures from the Fetix archive, 25 September 2026.
What the checker takes into account
- The 2015 format change: draws before 10 October 2015 used 49 balls, after it 59. Old draws are checked with the rules and prizes of their time.
- The New Lotto (since 10 June 2026): every evening now has two rounds, and your ticket plays both. Fetix checks your line against each round.
- Real prizes: every amount is the one actually paid that night, not an average.

FAQ
Do I need my ticket to check my numbers?
No. You only need the 6 numbers you play. Fetix checks them against the whole archive, whether or not you played on a given night.
Why do I not enter the Bonus ball?
Because you do not choose it: it is an extra ball drawn after the main six. It only changes the prize when you match 5 numbers, and Fetix compares it automatically.
Can the same line win in both New Lotto rounds?
Yes. Since 10 June 2026 your ticket plays Round 1 and Round 2, and prizes from both add up. The checker lists each round separately.
Does a line that has won before have a better chance next time?
No. Each draw is independent: a line that has paid out 463 times has exactly the same chance at the next draw as any other.
How up to date is the archive?
Results are synced automatically after every draw, usually the same evening. This article uses the 3,209 draw nights available on 25 September 2026.
